These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of kraus.law and any related pages, content, podcasts, or services published by Kraus Law PLLC (the "Firm," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use this website.

The Firm is a Texas professional limited liability company with its principal office at 205 E Bridge St, Granbury, Texas 76048. Charles "Chuck" Kraus is the owner of the Firm and a partner at Scale LLP.

Section 02

Attorney Advertising Notice

This website may constitute attorney advertising under the rules of one or more jurisdictions. The information presented on this site is for general informational purposes only and is intended to give the reader an overview of the Firm and the topics it covers.

The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely on advertisements. Prior results and case examples described or referenced on this site do not guarantee a similar outcome in any future matter. Every legal matter is fact-specific, and outcomes depend on the unique circumstances involved.

For readers in Texas: This website is published in compliance with the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, including Rule 7.04 regarding lawyer advertising. The principal office of the Firm responsible for the content is at 205 E Bridge St, Granbury, Texas 76048.
Section 03

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Use of this website does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Kraus Law PLLC, Chuck Kraus, or Scale LLP. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when:

  • A written engagement letter has been executed by both you and the Firm,
  • A retainer or fee arrangement has been agreed in writing, and
  • The Firm has expressly accepted the representation.

Submitting a contact form, sending an email to hello@kraus.law, calling the Firm at (682) 529-7177, or reading content on this site does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship.

Do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this website or by unencrypted email before an attorney-client relationship has been formed. Information sent before the relationship is established may not be subject to attorney-client privilege and may not preclude the Firm from representing an opposing party.

Section 04

Not Legal Advice

The content on this site, including articles in the Insights section, podcast episodes, the Glossary, tracker pages, practice-area descriptions, and any other published material, is general information, not legal advice for any specific situation. The law changes frequently, varies by jurisdiction, and applies differently to different facts.

Reliance on information from this site without consulting qualified legal counsel for your specific situation is at your own risk. Do not act or refrain from acting based on content on this site without first obtaining advice from a licensed attorney who has reviewed your particular facts and circumstances.

The Firm makes no representation that the content is current, complete, or accurate at the time you read it. Statutes and regulations referenced may have been amended; case law may have evolved; agency guidance may have changed.

Section 05

Jurisdictional Practice

Chuck Kraus is licensed to practice law in the following jurisdictions:

  • Texas, State Bar of Texas
  • Minnesota, Minnesota Board of Law Examiners
  • Washington State, Washington State Bar Association
  • Alberta, Canada, Law Society of Alberta

The Firm's primary practice is conducted from its Granbury, Texas office. Where matters involve Scale LLP's national platform of attorneys, work may be performed by Scale LLP attorneys licensed in other states; the Firm and Scale LLP coordinate to ensure each matter is handled by attorneys licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.

Nothing on this website should be interpreted as the offer of legal services in any jurisdiction where the Firm or its attorneys are not properly licensed. If you are located in a jurisdiction where Chuck Kraus is not licensed, the Firm may still be able to assist you through Scale LLP's network, contact us to discuss.

Section 07

Limitation of Liability

The Firm provides this website on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

The Firm will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or any content on it, including but not limited to damages for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or reliance on information published on the site.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages, so portions of this limitation may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, the Firm's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Section 08

This website contains links to third-party websites, including government agencies (SEC, EPA, IRS, state courts), industry organizations (NAR, NALP, professional associations), academic publications (Virginia Tech, University of Florida, Texas A&M AgriLife), and news sources. These links are provided for the reader's convenience and reference.

The Firm does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content of any third-party site. Third-party sites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The Firm has no control over changes to third-party content after a link has been published.

The presence of a link does not constitute a recommendation or imply that the Firm has reviewed or vetted the third-party content. If you encounter content on a linked site that conflicts with information here, defer to the original source.
